Care Centre

Support Workers
The first person a client meets if they want help is a Support Worker. They will listen to their needs and provide them with initial basic information. If they cannot help directly, they will try to refer the client to a person or agency who can. The Support worker will also assess requests for clothing, furniture and food parcels.

Senior Support Workers
Senior Support Workers are responsible for the day to day running of the Care Centre. They aid and supervise the Support Workers.

Volunteers
Our volunteers play important roles including helping to sort clothes and serve meals. Anyone interested in volunteering in all areas of the Charity's work should contact Tony Beswick, Support Services Director, for further details.

Training Support Worker
Our Training Support Worker is responsible for all the training courses that we run. If clients require advice about training or getting a job they can arrange to see the Training Support Worker.

Operations Director
The Operations Director plans, monitors and evaluates the service delivery of the Care Centre. He is responsible to the Chief Executive Office..

Equal Opportunities
Services are offered to all people regardless of gender, race or religion. Disabled toilet and shower facilities are also available.

Behaviour
The Crypt wants everyone to feel welcome on our premises and we have some basic rules which we expect everyone to follow:

No drugs – No alcohol – No violence/weapons
Crypt staff may make random checks and confiscate anything that breaches these rules. Staff reserve the right to refuse entry to or ask any person to leave the premises for unacceptable behaviour. This may also result in a restriction from the premises for a specific period of time - normally at least a week.

All clients must sign in and out of the building. This ensures the safety of everyone should the building need to be evacuated.

St George's Crypt is a Christian charity. Each evening in the Night Centre there is a chapel service held for clients at around 7.00pm. Staff however, respect the right of clients to hold alternative or no religious beliefs.
