198 ITEMS FOR THE CRYPT
Rebecca Gibson, from Eversheds Solicitors, Leeds, took it upon herself to have a collection for the Crypt at Eversheds and other companies located at Bridgewater Place. She asked for tea, coffee, sugar and milk and at the end achieved the amazing amount of 198 items donated to us. The companies involved were;
Eversheds
Philpotts
BDO
GHD
DWF
We are enormously grateful to their generous donation and a big thank you to Becky.
What to donate
We welcome donations of food and toiletries – principally non-perishable items e.g. tins of meat, vegetables, fruit, pasta, rice, tea, coffee, sugar etc. The only item we don’t need is sweet corn! We do also of course welcome fresh fruit and vegetables but would favour non-perishable food as this does of course last longer.
On toiletries, we expressly welcome toothpaste, shower gel, toothbrushes and disposable razors.
How to drop off
The Crypt is situated in Great George Street, Leeds, LS1 3BR. It is underneath St George’s Church at the far end of Great George Street.
All deliveries should be made to the main reception situated on the junction of Great George Street and Thoresby Place (across the road from the “old” site of the Leeds General Infirmary).
How to arrange collection
We do wherever possible appreciate harvest donations being delivered to the Crypt. If that proves impracticable, we can (with prior notice) endeavour to collect from addresses in the Leeds area up to a 10 mile radius. We have limited driver capacity, so do give us 48 hours’ notice if you would like us to collect harvest. Please contact our Reception on 0113 245 9061 between 9.30am and 4.30pm or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
We will do our utmost to oblige!
DONATIONS FROM PREMIER FARNELL AND BLACKS SOLICTORS
Over the last few weeks, we have had some great donations from Premier Farnell and Blacks Solicitors. They have held collections of various items in their offices. Premier Farnell donated 8 boxes of tinned food and a selection of toiletries. Black Solicitors went round various supermarkets buying up their stock of toothpaste and managed a lot more than 80 tubes, which is what they were aiming for. This kind of support from the various firms is much appreciated.
