We actively look to work with community groups and individuals who want to raise money for us. We realise that it can be difficult to think of an activity or method to engage with the community as a whole or with friends and colleagues to make your event as successful as you and we would want. We therefore actively try to create fun and engaging activities that you can use if you are stuck for ideas.
Do you have a spare afternoon or evening? Then why not do a Souper Supper (Click here) or take afternoon tea with your friends. A great way to enjoy each-other’s company whilst raising money for a great cause.
If you have children or are a teacher then why not suggest that the kids do a Big Sleep-out. (Click here) Getting a group of kids to camp out overnight can be built into a good project researching the issues around homelessness, build awareness, create an understanding of using social networks to promote change and be a great way of raising funds for St George’s Crypt.
Or why not join our runners for the Leeds 10k, we also run the Spartan, marathons, and any other sporting activity can be a great place to fundraise. We have an annual football event that you can submit a team to or even a sponsored skydive!
Get in touch with our fundraising team if you want to have a chat about any ideas you might have for raising funds and keep an eye out here for ideas – we will endeavour to keep coming up with new and exciting fundraising ideas!
