People who access our service

The profile of people who access our service is complex. A growing number of them have multiple needs including alcohol, drugs and mental health issues. The age range continues to decrease and the number of people accessing our service under 25 stands at over 50%.
 

Volunteers

Volunteers are a vital part of the team at St George’s Crypt. There is at present a team of 80 volunteers who provide vital support services for the staff team in a wide range of  areas of work - including relief reception, driving the Crypt van, delivering skills training and serving food in the Crypt’s social room.

Volunteers receive support from the Crypt’s Volunteer Co-ordinator and appropriate training is provided as required. For further information please contact the Crypt - for a volunteer application pack please click here.

Trustees

St George’s Crypt is administered by a board of Trustees. It is at present an unincorporated charity. There are three Committees.

Finance and Governance -
Providing assurance to the Trustees that the Charity has arrangements in place for establishing sound systems of financial management and internal controls, this Committee monitors effective governance and accountability frameworks including budgets and cash flow.

External Relations -
The Trustees are advised by this Committee of the arrangements in place for effective fund raising, public relations and partnerships with other organisations.

Staffing Committee -
This important group of people provide assurance to the Trustees that the charity has arrangements in place for good working practices. These include fostering good relationships between management and service providers including compliance with employment law and recognised good practice.
